A history through the ages from the Neolithic period to the present day

The Portskewett & Sudbrook Heritage Centre is in the grounds of St Mary’s Church, a Grade 1 listed building in the centre of the village of Portskewett.

The Centre is housed in a former 17th century cottage which was inhabited by local residents until the 1940’s. The cottage then became derelict and has recently been renovated with grant funding, particularly from the

National Lottery Heritage Fund and CADW.

To whet your appetite for the our heritage please browse through the maps, click on the icons and learn more about the history through the stories of local historical characters.
