"I carry out a number of jobs at the manor but my main occupation is fishing.  The Severn is a good provider and there are salmon aplenty.  We catch them in lave nets from the shallows and sometimes we spread much larger nets in wide arcs. When you do that, your catch can include shad and lampreys - lovely in a pie!"
